My impression on Bier und Wurst

Having been to Germany before, I was not too shocked when I read about their way of life. My Oboe maestro, who studied in Germany and has a German husband, once joked that there is something about the Bier, Wurst, und the bad weather of Germany that made them sarcastic towards most things. Now, I realize that is not true for all the Germans, but the memory that I can recall from my trip to Germany consists mostly of sarcasm(partly because I was in Northern region as the articles point out).
My father likes to get Pils and Lager, but he usually settles for Moose for the lack of stores that sell the Bier in the reasonable price range nowadays. I remember my friend Lorenzo sarcastically commenting how Amerikanen Bier tasted like (forgive my language) Piss after he tasted it. I was slightly offended, but I kept my silence because I figured that he knew a LITTLE more about Bier than I did. Aside from all the things that reminded me of my previous knowledge, I was confused when I read about the organic food craze. I thought that the trend was inherent in Western Europe and Southern Europe. Perhaps that is not true. However, if the movement is to succeed, I believe that it needs some major restructuring to meet the demand for future comsumption.
